July 1st - The Precious Blood

Friday is the Feast of the Precious Blood and the first Friday of the month. We now have two Masses:

6.00 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist, Cooper Lane, Bradford

7.30 p.m. at St. Austin's, Wentworth Terrace, Wakefield

 

Week beginning 27th. June

 

This week sees the Holy Day of obligation for the feast of Ss Peter & Paul.

Masses this week as follows:

Tuesday - St. Ignatius, Ossett at 6.00 p.m.

Wednesday - St. Patrick's, Westgate, Bradford at 5.00 p.m. (No Mass at St. Winefride's)

Thursday - St. Anthony's, Clayton, Bradford at 9.30 a.m.

                - St. Joseph's Back Street, Pontefract at 7.00 p.m.

Friday - St. Austin's, Wentworth Terrace, Wakefield at 7.30 p.m.

Sunday - St. Ignatius, Ossett at 8.30 a.m.

             - St. Patrick's, Westgate, Bradford at 1.00 p.m. 

Week beginning 20th. June

Our Corpus Christi procession after the 1.00 p.m. Mass at St. Patrick's on Sunday was a successful and memorable occasion and my wife said that several passengers in cars filmed or photographed the procession. A variety of Eucharistic hymns was sung as about 50 of us accompanied the Blessed Sacrament around the block and back to church for Benediction.

Thank you to the gentlemen who assisted in carrying the canopy. There had also been a procession earlier through the streets round St. Joseph's in Manchester Road - our old venue.

Wednesday - 6.30 p.m. at St. Winefride's, Wibsey, Bradford

Thursday - 9.30 a.m. at St. Anthony's, Clayton, Bradford

                   7.00 p.m. at St. Joseph's, Back Street, Pontefract

Friday - Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, missa cantata at St. Austin's, Wentworth Terrace, Wakefield

Sunday - 8.30 a.m. at St. Ignatius, Ossett

                1.00 p.m. at St. Patrick's, Westgate, Bradford

Week beginning 13 th. June

 

This week  we celebrate the feast of the Corpus Christi.

Masses as follows:

Tuesday - 6.00 p.m. at St. Ignatius, Ossett

NO Mass on Wednesday

Corpus Christi Thursday - 9.30 a.m. at St. Anthony's, Clayton

                                           7.00 p.m. at St. Joseph's, Back Street, Pontefract

Friday - 7.30 p.m. at St. Austin's, Wakefield

Sunday (External Solemnity of Corpus Christi)  - 8.30 a.m. St Ignatius, Ossett

               1.00 p.m. at St. Patrick's, Bradford followed by Eucharistic Procession and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
