This Sunday is the Feast of the Dedication of the Lateran Basilica marking seventeen hundred and one years since Pope Silvester dedicated the church in his house to our Lord and Saviour after it was given to him by the Emperor Constantine following his conversion to Christianity.
However, as it is also Remembrance Sunday one Mass of requiem may be offered for the war dead in every church.
This Sunday's Mass at 1.00 p.m. at Saint Patrick's in Bradford will be followed by absolutions at the catafalque immediately after Mass.
